Privacy
Short version: your conversations are yours, we keep as little as we can, and you can take all of it back at any time.
What we hold
Your phone number or email, the name you asked to be called, which companion and voice you chose, your conversations, a small set of memories drawn from them, and a record of your sessions and payments.
What we deliberately don’t store as memories
Health and medical details, mental-health diagnoses, financial details, passwords or one-time codes, government identifiers, email addresses, home addresses, and anything relating to self-harm. The extraction step filters these out before anything is written.
Training
Your conversations are not used to train external models. There is an explicit opt-in in settings, off by default; without it your conversations are used only to run the product for you.
Safety
Messages pass through a safety check on the way in and on the way out. When something is flagged we store the category, the action taken and a short excerpt — not the full message — so we can review how the system is behaving.
What you can do
- See every memory the companion holds, and delete any of them.
- Turn memory off entirely.
- Delete any conversation.
- Export everything we hold as a JSON file.
- Delete your account, which removes your conversations and memories for good.
Keeping it safe
Data is encrypted in transit, and at rest by the database provider. Provider API keys are never exposed to your browser. Payments are handled by the payment gateway; we never see or store your card details.
This is not a medical service
Your companion is an AI. It is not a therapist, doctor or counsellor and does not provide medical advice. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services. If you're in India, Tele-MANAS is free and open 24x7 on 14416. If you're somewhere else, your local emergency number can connect you to someone right now.
Questions about your data? Use the export and delete controls in settings, or write to the address given in the app.
